After half of the previous band members left Finland trying their luck elsewhere, Kindly Ink has shifted to a second gear. More speed was gathered from an excursion to Amsterdam in December 2006 and after that the assembly has been busy recoring the EP "Come On Punch Me". Now it's time to take a breath, do bit of gigs and concentrate on new songs. |
Kindly Ink is a four man orchestra playing indie influenced
rock music, floating smoothly from beautiful melodies into
distorted riffs. Inspired by British rock and post-grunge
spirit alike, but not shackled with any certain genre, the band
is experimenting in the soundscape -- It doesn't matter which
pieces a song is formed out of if the end result is pleasing
for the ears.
 ANTTI Bass With a sparkle in the eye, our bass player has also extraordinarily deep talking voice. Cosmopolitan with a steady grip to instruments all alike. |
 MARTTI Vocals, rhythm guitar Martti is the leading man in the band, composing all of the songs (even if everyone else has a say to them), pouring his emotions to a drawing board and picking up pieces to form a song after another. Originally a keyboard player in the band but got bored of standing in the back side of the stage. |
 MATTI Lead guitar, keyboards The oldest band member, all the way from the beginning of the band, but still manages to be the youngest all the time. Carving melodies out of echoing guitar strings with care and occasionally hammering a few keys down from a synthesizer. Hopes to do the latter more in the future. |
 KALLE Drums After 4 years in exile in Ireland playing in a few local bands, Kalle has returned home. Sitting firmly behind the drum set and giving you a smile or twelve, he likes to draw inspiration from both Charlie Watts and Keith Moon. |
